Parent Teacher Connection (PTC)

The PTC brings families and staff together to support OCS through events, fundraisers, and volunteer service. Every OCS family is part of the PTC, and your involvement helps strengthen our community.

PTC Facebook Group

  • Meetings: 1st Monday of each month at 6:00 PM (above main office)

  • How We Help: Organize events, support teachers, build community

  • How to Join: Attend a meeting, volunteer for a project, or contribute to school events

Parent Service Hours

To help keep tuition affordable, each family contributes 10 parent service hours per quarter.

Apply for Background Check

*An IBC/OCS background check is required for all adults who volunteer to work with students in the classroom or playground. Supply your information using this form or contact the school office to submit your background check.

Hours can be earned through:

On-campus*

  • Classroom aide

  • Playground supervision

  • Maintenance

  • Tutoring

Donations

  • Materials purchased for the school (credited at $15/hr)

Off-campus

  • Fundraiser prep

  • Picking up pizza orders

  • Preparing meals for teacher work days

  • Helping teachers from home

Hours roll over each quarter (but not year to year). Remember to log your time in the school office binder or submit receipts for credit.

Immunization Forms

  • OCS uses Praxi primarily for payments regarding tuition, BASK, emergency lunches, milk, and other incurred expenses.

    1. Log in to Praxi using the school code: 4640

    2. Enter your Parent ID. This is sent to you via email along with a temporary password once enrolled. Once you log in you will be prompted to change your password.

    3. Here you can view billing and past payments, sign contracts, review emergency contact information, and set up recurring payments.

  • The Jupiter platform is used to manage communication from teachers to students regarding class assignments and final grades.

    Log in to Jupiter here using the assigned ID for your parent acount. If you need an updated password, please contact the office.

  • Before and After School Kids (B.A.S.K.) childcare is available in the mornings starting at 7:15am and in the afternoons from 2:30pm–5pm.

    For participating students, your Praxi account will be charged at $5 per hour per student.

    Please RSVP to our office if you wish to have your student participate.

  • Yes! We love it when parents can attend and invite all parents to join our students for chapel on Wednesday mornings at Fairview Bible Church.

    K–4th grade from 8:15–9:15
    5th grade–High School from 9:40–10:40
